August 18th, 2017 - S&P 500 e-Mini - Trading Activity - Today's Real Money Profit $136 / Sim Trade Profit $0
Opening Comments
Big move to the downside in the markets yesterday.
Our target was hit and we covered the short position with a profit.
What was the catalyst for this decline?
I think it was the natural cycle of the markets supported by the underlying weakness in the broad market.
The tragedy in Barcelona is noise that the media brings in to try and explain something they do not understand.
If you look back at the market reaction to similar incidents in Nice, Berlin and London you will see that there was little or no market reaction to them.
We will continue to trade normally.
Real Account Profit Target for this week is $350 per day.

This trade took most of the day to work itself out.
There was a strong pullback to the days lows before the rally back to the target.
This flipping technique has not worked out very well.
Both techniques tested over the last 3 or 4 weeks have the same underlying problems.
They are either hot or cold and when cold lock in losses that are hard to recover from.
The old Plan B has worked out just as well in the long run.
Closed the day with $136 profits.

Flip Trade Rule (Modified 07/08/17)
When Flipping trades we flip immediately to 5 contracts.
The target for the flip trade will be the recovery of the previous trades losses.
Profit is secondary to recovery of losses and getting flat.
This will apply to apply to all trades that do not follow through.

Trade Signals
I added an additional trade signal to the mix, the Support & Resistance Trade
This comes into play when the market encounters a support and resistance level and either bounces off or retreats from.
In this case the first naked close signal is taken as the entry point.
This signal differs from the W in that it can occur wherever support and resistance levels occur whereas the W signals generally occur at trend tops and bottoms.
For a more detailed description of all signals see the post;
