August 11th, 2017 - S&P 500 e-Mini - Trading Activity - Today's Real Money Profit $3,000, Sim Trade Profit $891
Opening Comments
Yesterday was a wild ride down.
Looks like this was a reaction to Trump's stance on North Korea.
What will the market do today and more importantly what do I do with the open short position?
The market has a tendency to retrace after a big move like this.
Real Account Profit Target for this week is $350 per day, once we close out the current open position.
Real Money Trading S&P 500 e-Mini
Short 8 contracts at an average price of 2440.00.
I decided to take out 7 of the positions at 2434.00
This should give me a profit of about $1500 on these contracts.
I kept one position an put the target @ 2426.25.
This target is base done on the NYSE and a support level at about the 2.755 retracement level overall.
Continue to monitor the position.
If the market runs back up to the break even at 2440, I will stop out the final contract.
About an hour before the open the market rallied back to the 2440 level and I closed out the trade at 2440.75.
The market started trading like it was in regular hours.
Lots of volume and volatility.
Should be an interesting day.
This is gives me a profit of around $3,000 on the trade.
Not bad considering it was in a loss position of about $16,000 a few days ago.

Well, I think that is enough excitement for one day and one week.
Packing it in with $891 profit.
The remainder of the day was still tradeable, but a bit more choppy and difficult to read than the first part of the day.

Flip Trade Rule (Modified 07/08/17)
When Flipping trades we flip immediately to 5 contracts.
The target for the flip trade will be the recovery of the previous trades losses.
Profit is secondary to recovery of losses and getting flat.
This will apply to apply to all trades that do not follow through.

Trade Signals
I added an additional trade signal to the mix, the Support & Resistance Trade
This comes into play when the market encounters a support and resistance level and either bounces off or retreats from.
In this case the first naked close signal is taken as the entry point.
This signal differs from the W in that it can occur wherever support and resistance levels occur whereas the W signals generally occur at trend tops and bottoms.
For a more detailed description of all signals see the post;

Coming into the Reg hours Open we are seeing a Short Bias.
I decided to step aside and watch the open for a bit.
There was a rally off the open into a lower short term high then a decline into a sell signal.
This is were I entered the market
