Opening Comments

We arrived in the UK on Saturday and will spend some time here visiting our daughter.



Real Money Trading S&P 500 e-Mini

Holding 1 long position @2433.00 based on the July 4th Special Holiday Trade.
Have my target @ 2438.00 and a mental stop @2401.00

The rules are to buy on the open, hold the trade for one session then exit on the next profitable open.
This means I should hold until the 3rd of July before I exit.

I pulled my target down to 2434.25.
This is the 76% Fibonacci retracement level of yesterdays trading range.
The objective is to try to get out of the trade and salvage at least our commissions.

I am considering taking another contract Long based on the 1st TDOM trade that is historically 83% successful.

The market closed at 2421 and my entry for the current position is 2433.
If the market opens around 2421 and I enter there this would put my average price at 2427.00.
A target of 2429 would put me at the 60% retracement level and near the top Friday's trading range.
This would be a much easier target to hit than where I am now at 2434.25.

We shall see how the market opens.
The session hours are restricted due to the Holiday.

On the open I took one more contract long @ 2424.25.
I am now 2 long at an average price of 2428.625.

I will leave my target @ 2434.25 for now and see what happens.

Coming into the open the market was looking strong and had already advanced about 5 points from my entry.
After the open the market continued to rally and took out the target giving me a profit of $555.

No further trading on the day.

Opening Comments No market moving events over the weekend. The markets opened about where they closed and have made a small upward move continuing the Friday late day rally. Prognosis for the week from our advisory subscription is for the market to rally in the first few days then pullback towards the end of the week. Opening Comments The market  rallied out of the open continuing Monday's afternoon rally. In the short term, next couple of days, we should expect a rally to take back some of last weeks losses before continuing lower. Swing Trade Strategies Yesterday I mentioned a Swing Trade Strategy that I follow that needs a bit of work to improve it's performance. This strategy is based on the Naked Close concept. First of all what is a Naked Close? There are 2 types of naked closes. For a show of strength the close of this bar is higher than the high of the previous bar. I call this a Naked Close Long signal. For a show of weakness the close of this bar is lower than the low of the previous bar. I call this a Naked Close Short signal. In the chart below, a daily chart of the S&P 500 e-mini, the green dots indicate bars with a Naked Close Long signal and the red dots indicate bars with Naked Close Short signals.
