July 2nd Weekly Summary - Real Money Account Profit $457 - Sim Account Profit $8,255

The Week in Review

Real Money Account

Because of our travels this week I did not Day Trade the S&P as usual.

I took the Special June Short which made a profit of $457

AND

I took a Special Long trade based on the July 4th Holiday.

We are still in that long trade.
Entry point was 2433.00.
Market closed the week at  2421.00.
So, we are in negative territory at this time on the trade.

We will have to manage this trade out then go back to our Day Trading strategies.
When we get back to that our daily target will be $300.

There is a 1st Trading Day of the Month (TDOM) trade for July that I am looking at.
16 of the last 18 years a buy on the open has been profitable with a $1,200 Stop and exiting on the 1st profitable open.

With this high probability trade and the need to manage our current long position into a better exit point, I am considering buying 1 more contract when the market opens Sunday afternoon.

Bonds Trading Day of the Month (TDOM) Simulation Trading

We had 2 trades close out this week, 1 for a profit of $1,000 and the other for a loss of $3,250 leaving us with a net loss of $2,250 for the week.
Since starting tracking the Bonds TDOM concept on January 1st, we are up about $10,000.




S&P 500 E-mini Sim Account
When we started the week we were holding 37 contract Long in the Sim Account.
The target was hit on this trade early in the week for a profit of $8,255.
So, we managed that one well.

That was the only Sim Trading we did for the week.

Opening Comments No market moving events over the weekend. The markets opened about where they closed and have made a small upward move continuing the Friday late day rally. Prognosis for the week from our advisory subscription is for the market to rally in the first few days then pullback towards the end of the week. Swing Trade Strategies Yesterday I mentioned a Swing Trade Strategy that I follow that needs a bit of work to improve it's performance. This strategy is based on the Naked Close concept. First of all what is a Naked Close? There are 2 types of naked closes. For a show of strength the close of this bar is higher than the high of the previous bar. I call this a Naked Close Long signal. For a show of weakness the close of this bar is lower than the low of the previous bar. I call this a Naked Close Short signal. In the chart below, a daily chart of the S&P 500 e-mini, the green dots indicate bars with a Naked Close Long signal and the red dots indicate bars with Naked Close Short signals. Opening Comments The market  rallied out of the open continuing Monday's afternoon rally. In the short term, next couple of days, we should expect a rally to take back some of last weeks losses before continuing lower. Our mid term prognosis based on the cycle and inter-market analysis, that we follow, is for the market to decline into October. The forecast provides general direction, but not magnitude.
