June 21st, 2017 - S&P 500 e-Mini - Trading Activity - Today's Real Money Profit $272, Sim Trade Profit $0

Opening Comments

Yesterday was the first loss I have had in the Sim Account since April 27th.
Not something we are used to, but it can and will happen.

On the flip side we managed the Real Money Account short trade into a $585 profit and that is what really counts.

No joy for the Sim Account as the market continued lower overnight

Our daily target in the Real Money account, for this week, is $250.

Real Money Trading S&P 500 e-Mini

The market has set up a support level at 2433.00.
The 2,000 tick declined off a lower short term high into a sell signal at support for the 3rd test of this level. The entry signal came in at 2433.00.
1:09 - Expecting a rally off this support I put an order for 1 short @ 2434.00 and was filled. Target @ 2433.00
Target hit, we are flat with $45 profit.

The market breaks lower, consolidates for a couple of bars then declines into a sell signal @ 2429.50. The market then rallied off this sell signal.
2:28 - Placed an order for 1 short @ 2431.50. Order filled. Target @ 2430.50.
Target hit, we are flat with $90 profit.

The market rallied off bottom into 2 consecutive buys signals on the 2,000 tick chart. Looking for a long entry point as the market declined off the signal. Being cautious on the long side.

The market did not follow through with the advance, it pulled back to re-test support and established a higher short term low on the 3rd test of support. The 2,000 tick then advanced into a buy signal off support.
5:15  - Placed a buy order for 1 long @ 2131.50 just below the entry signal @ 2131.75. Did not get filled and the market moved up and away from us. So canceled the order.

2,000 tick rallies from a higher short term low into a buy signal.
7:18 - Placed order @ 2434.75 for 1 long position. Order filled. Target @ 2436.00
Target hit, we are flat with $148 profit.

Getting closer to the open, the 2,000 tick made a shallow pullback then rallied from a higher short term low into a buy signal.
8:08 - Placed an order for 1 long just under the signal entry @ 2437.50. Order filled. Target @ 2438.50.
As we came into the open price advanced and I adjusted the target to 2439.00.
Open trade did not follow through to the upside. 2,000 tick declined then went sideways for a period of time. Finally broke lower giving a solid sell signal.
8:52 - Took 4 short @ 2435.75. 1 to cover the long and 3 for recovery. Target @ 2434.50.
Target hit, we are flat with $228 profit.

The market rallied back into the range, and the 2,000 tick declined off a lower short term high into a sell signal.
9:11 - Took 1 short @ 2435.50. Target @ 2434.50.
Target filled, we are flat with $272 profit.

We have exceeded our profit target.

Switching to the Sim Account.

Simulation Trading LW Best TDOM  Bonds

Our next Bond entry day is the 21st.
Expecting a long trade.

Put an order in for 1 contract @ 156 4/32nd's after the market close.
Expect it to fill overnight.
Did not fill.
Moved entry to the day open price 156 7/32nd's. Filled.
We are in profit of $93 at the close of the day.

First exit day for this trade is 23/6/17

Simulation Trading S&P 500 e-Mini

Closed out yesterday holding 33 contracts long at a price of 2441.00 and a target @ 2442.00.
We may need to rethink the number of flips and contracts we hold in the Sim Account.
We would never get close to 33 contracts in the Real Money account.
Let's say from here on out 20 contracts is the maximum we can hold in the Sim Account.
Makes it a bit more realistic yet allows for some learning.

To manage this trade out may require us to load up a few more contracts to get our break even into the trading range of  the day.
We will see what happens overnight and tomorrow.

No joy overnight or early in the day.

We need to start getting our average price in line.

10:45 the 10,000 tick advanced of a higher second test of support near the 2430 level.
Took 1 long @ 2432.75.
Now long 34 contracts at an average price of 2440.75

Market declined to make another test of support at the 2430 level.

2,000 tick rallies off bottom into two consecutive buy signals. 13:20 - Took 1 more long @ 2430.75.
Now long 35 contracts at an average price of  2440.50.

Market closed with us still holding this trade.
