June 14th, 2017 - S&P 500 e-Mini - Trading Activity - Today's Real Money Profit $240, Sim Trade Profit $585

Opening Comments

Another positive performance  yesterday.
We managed to exceed our daily target and collectively with the Sim account made over $1,000.
So, we can see the potential of the methods.

Not much action so far in the overnight market.
There was a decline out of the open which has now retraced.
Have been going sideways in a 4 point range since noon yesterday.
We wait.

Real Money Trading S&P 500 e-Mini

There was a sell signal on the 10,000 tick at 0:48.
It came in right at the bottom of the range and has only a 50% probability so we passed on it.
The market rallied from there into 2 consecutive buy signals on the 2,000 tick.
Hitting a target would require a break out of the range which is a high risk probability.
We pass on this one. To was it was a good trade

6:37 - 10,000 tick gives us a buy signal. Passed on it as well and it turned out to be good.
Need to become more confident in my own signals. Am second guessing things this morning.
Take the trades as they come and then manage them according to how the market plays out is the mindset I need to get fixed in my brain.

2,000 tick give us a buy signal off the move out of the earlier consolidation range. 6:50 - Took 2 long @ 2441.25. Target @ 2442.25.
No follow through. 2,000 tick declines of high into 2 consecutive sell signals.  7:30 - Took 7 short @ 2439.50. 2 to cover the longs and 5 for recovery. Target @ 2438.25.
Market came down, touched the target, did not fill then rallied into 2 consecutive buy signals on the 2,000 tick. Not able to flip due to number of contracts and margin requirements. Kick into Plan B.

Coming into the open the signals are setting up for a long trade. We are holding the short trade looking for Plan B.

From the open, the market drives lower and hits our target. We are flat with $120 profit.

2,000 tick rallies from the low into 2 consecutive buy signals. 8:46 - Took 1 long @ 2438.75. Target @ 2439.75.

2,000 tick pulls back then rallied of a higher short term low into a buy signal with entry @ 2439.00
Adjust target to 2440.00 based on this signal.
Market touches target, but does not fill then moves lower into 2 consecutive sell signals. 9:20 - Took 4 short @ 2437.00 1 to cover the long and 3 for recovery. Target @ 2436.00. Got nervous and took them out at 2436.50. We are flat with a profit of $95.00. Should have held firm. Target was hit.

Settle down and work the next signal.

2,000 tick rallies then declines from lower short term high into a sell signal. 9:23 - Took 1 short @ 2436.25
Target @ 2435.25.
Target hit, we are flat with $140

2,000 tick rallies then declines off a lower short term high into s sell signal or so I thought, I hit the sell button prematurely and the signal was gone at the bar close. 9:42 - Took 1 @ 2435.50. Target @ 2434.50.
Target was hit, we are flat with $190 profit. Some times you get lucky.

2,000 tick rallies then declines off a lower short term high into a sell signal. Put in order, but market was moving to quickly. Did not get filled. Wait for next opportunity.

2,000 tick advances off recent low into 2 consecutive buy signals. 10:11 - Took 1 long @ 2434.75. Target @ 2435.75.
Target hit, we are flat with $240 profit.

Have exceeded our daily target.

Switch to Sim Account.

It is about 11:00 am.
The Bond trade is up just over $2,000.
The rules are to exit on the open of the first profitable open starting on the 15th.
The market will probably retrace some of these gains.
I am going to take this out now and look for a re-entry point later in the day.
Closed the trade @ 155 30/32nd's with a profit of $2061.

Made our target in the Real Account so now starting Sim Trading at 10:50 am.

Missed a trade in the S&P when I was messing with the Bond trade.

Market appears to be getting choppy and going a bit sideways.
One indication of this is when the 10,000 tick signals start to fail.
Have had two of those fail in a row.
The 10,000 tick are not always taken as the 2,000 tick signals override them.
The 10,000 tick signals are most reliable when there is a strong trend in place.

2,000 tick does a double test of resistance @2436 then declines into a sell signal. 11:13 - Took 2 short @ 2434.50. Target @2433.50.
No follow through. 2,000 tick rallied into 2 consecutive buy signals. 11:36 - Took 7 long @ 2436.50. 2 to cover the shorts and 5 for recovery. Target 2437.50.
Target hit, we are flat with $33 profit.

2,000 tick pulls back then rallies off a higher short term low into a buy signal. 12:03 - Took 2 long @ 2437.25. Target @ 2438.25.
Target hit, we are flat with $128 profit.

2,000 tick declines of recent high into 2 consecutive sell signals. 12:19 - Took 2 short @ 2436.50. Target @ 2435.25.
Target hit, we are flat with $223 profit.

2,000 tick breaks lower out of a consolidation range into a sell signal. 13:02 - Took 2 short @ 2435.00 Target @ 2034.00.
Market immediately rallies into two 2 consecutive buy signals on the 2,000 tick. 13:05 - Took 10 long @ 2439.00 2 to cover the shorts and 8 for recovery. Target @ 2440.00.
Target hit, we are flat with $300 profit.

2,000 tick declines of recent high into 2 consecutive sell signals. 13:16 - Took 2 short @ 2436.50. Target @ 2435.50.
Target hit, we are flat with $390 profit.

2,000 tick rallies from thirds test of support @ 2434.00 into 2 consecutive buy signals. 13:30 - Took 2 long @ 2437.00. Target @ 2438.00
Target hit, we are flat with $480 profit.

2,000 tick declines from lower short term high into 2 consecutive sell signals. 13:36 - Took 2 short @ 2434.75. Target @ 2433.75.
Target hit, we are flat with $585 profit.

Enough for today.
Collectively between the Sim account and real account we have $825 profits for the day.

Daily Summary & Charts

Lots of movement in the market today both to the upside and the down but at the end of it we are just about back to where we opened.

A couple of losing trades to day that we had to recover from.

Off to a shaky start, but a good recovery.
