So, today the market did not break out of the overnight doldrums until about 4:00 am.

Remember all my times are based on Chicago, where the CME is.

Simulation trading before market open.
My first entry was long at 4:40
Continued trading in the simulator until 8:00 am, then switched to my real money account.
Still had a long trade open because the market went sideways.
One of the problems you can run into trading the pre-open market is lack of volatility and follow through on the trades. The low volume sometimes leads to this happening and the market will go back into a trading range.

Started trading on the real money account with my Open trade.
All went well on that, then I took the next signal and it went south.
Flipped it to a short based on my rules.
Market looked like it was not going to cooperate then dropped and hit my target.
Up $235 on the day in the real account, well above my $150 target for the day

Switched back to the Simulation to find that the long trade I was in was taken out on target.
Made one more short trade and called it a day
Up $180 in the simulation.
A bit short of my target of $500, but I spent more time on the real money account today.
